Mini Handball is a non-contact version of handball where players learn the basics of the game without the physicality. This allows them to focus on the mechanics of the sport without worrying about the contact element.
Available Programs
There are several Mini Handball programs available to kick start within your community such as school programs, leagues, and other events. If you are interested in starting a program or looking for more information, see Join, Mini Handball Events and Programs, and School Clinics located under Mini Handball.
Wider Scope
Once players are older and ready to begin learning the contact rules of the game, they will once again start with the basics of proper defensive hand placement and how to effectively and safely stop an offensive player from scoring.
Contact handball
As players get older and enter high school, they can join a high school team at the following schools: Sheldon, Miller, Campbell, Winston Knoll or O'Neill and play against other schools within the city. In addition, if they are interested, they can join one of our provincial teams and travel across the country, into the U.S. and even Sweden.
